Along Houston’s Buffalo Bayou, a 150-acre development is taking shape. The developer reached out to Square Feet to brand East River, which will develop into five mixed-use districts with retail, commercial space, multifamily housing, hospitality and more. We worked with the team to highlight the area’s rich history as a shipping port and envision an exciting future that honors these roots, bringing back the dynamic exchange of goods, services and ideas to the East Side.
Shortly after Square Feet completed East River’s initial branding scope, Amazon announced plans for its second U.S. headquarters and opened up the RFP process to cities around the country. We were called to help design a compelling response proposing East River and Houston as the location for HQ2.
